B&J walked faster away from the store

In a previous post, I reported that Michael Brown and Dorian Johnson passed the corner of Canfield Drive and West Florissant Avenue at the following two times:

-- 11:46 a.m. on their way to the store

-- 11:56 a.m. on their way from the store.

I am rounding the times to the nearest minute for this article.

Since they were inside the store for about about one minute and exited the store at about 11:52, they entered the store at about 11:51.

The walk from the corner to the store was five minutes
The walk from the store to the corner was four minutes

Therefore their walks between that corner and the store differed as follows:

* They passed the corner at 11:46 and entered the store at 11:51, so their walk from the corner to the store lasted about five minutes.

* They exited the store at 11:52 and passed the corner at 11:56, so their walk from the store to the corner lasted about four minutes.

Of course, they walked faster away from the store because the clerk had yelled to them that the police had been called.
